03/01/2008 - ACRS Team Members To Participate In The Shamrock Shuffle
Five members of ACRS take on the windy city challenge, known as Chicago’s Shamrock Shuffle.
This spring marks the 29th annual Bank of America sponsored event. This year’s official charities
are the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Imerman Angels, as well as partner charities
like PAWS Chicago and the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.
As we all hope for winter to soon end, the Shamrock Shuffle, held on Sunday, March 30th, is
recognized as an annual segue into spring. Beginning and ending in Grant Park, the Shamrock
Shuffle winds its way through Chicago’s scenic downtown as it passes through old historical
structures.
As our members at ACRS prepare for the run, so do thousands of other Chicago-land area participants.
The 8k run attracts recreational and dedicated runners alike. In fact, this race is so popular
that the 30,000 capacity limitation was filled nearly two months prior to the race. The Shamrock
Shuffle is rumored to be one of the largest 8k races in the world due to its high number of participants.
The Chicago community is invited to join us in the celebration of spring.
Development of version 2.0 of the ACRS website has been completed. We hope you will find
this version more friendly and inviting.
