Melissa Lamb joined Advanced Clinical Research Services (ACRS) as a Data Operator in May 1994. From May 1994 until May 1996,
Melissa's duties included set-up, entry, and verification of client studies along with assisting quality assurance associates
with resolving queries and making necessary changes in the database.
In May 1996, Melissa was promoted to Data Entry Supervisor. In addition to performing Data Operator tasks, she also provided
training to all new employees and oversaw the day to day activities of the data entry staff.
In January 2001, Melissa became a Clinical Data Manager. Her duties included creating Data Processing Plans, performing
quality assurance, and performing quality control checks in Oracle Clinical (OC). She was the primary Clinical Data Manager
on multiple Phase I, II, and III studies in the therapeutic areas of Rheumatology and Gynecology.
Melissa received database training in Oracle Clinical (OC) in 2002, which included database creation and programming of derivations
and validations. She was then transitioned to work in oncology. There, she addressed all aspects of new client start-up, including
establishing conventions, creating database standards, and other activities required for project initiation.
In January 2003, Melissa was promoted to Project Lead. In addition to performing Clinical Data Manager tasks, she was responsible
for managing the activities of data management studies and staff to insure all timeframes and targets are met to the sponsor's
satisfaction. This included training and supervising Clinical Data Managers, coordinating teams and assignments of resources across
multiple clients and compounds, and insuring the overall quality and quantity of Data Management activities.
